Trends we are seeing in the houseplant market as we enter July include pet safe plants, easy to care for plants that make a statement, and plants with unique colors! Avid houseplant collectors, mastering the art of using houseplants as home décor, are looking for eye-catching statement plants. Beginning plant parents tend towards smaller varieties that do well in lower light conditions. Whether you are an experienced plant parent or just starting out, there is something on this list for everyone!

 

#1 White Fittonia Nerve Plant


One of our favorite compact plant varieties! Fittonia Plants (also called Nerve Plants) are notable for being pet safe and fast growers. White Fittonia features green leaves with brightly contrasting white veins. Care is easy, since this plant lets you know exactly when it needs watered. Be on the lookout for drooping leaves, then give your plant a big drink of water! High humidity will also help this plant thrive. Raven ZZ plant is well known for it's signature black leaves. Like normal ZZ plants, Raven ZZ is a great plant option for low light areas. It is known for being able to thrive in low light conditions, and for being very forgiving if you miss a watering. Butterfly Syngonium is very popular among beginners and a great option to train on a moss pole!
